VACCINE ELIGIBILITY & APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
- The RCDOH encourages eligible individuals to sign up for appointments wherever they are available.
- Vaccines are for anyone age 5+, there are no residency restrictions in New York State, and immigration status is not important. The CDC has recommended the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for 5 – 11 year-olds. Parents and guardians looking to schedule vaccine appointments for children ages 5 - 11 are encouraged to contact their child's pediatrician, family physician, FQHC, or pharmacies that may be administering the vaccine for this age group.
- Vaccinations performed by local hospitals, federally qualified health centers, pharmacies, physician networks, and practice groups must be made directly through those providers.
- The NYS Am I Eligible webpage will provide you with a list of New York State run vaccination sites or visit vaccines.gov for a list of additional vaccine providers.
