The County of Rockland operates Transport of Rockland (TOR) buses, which provide fixed-route service within Rockland County, and TRIPS paratransit buses, which provide curb-to-curb service for eligible riders by reservation within Rockland County.  TOR and TRIPS may be used to connect with regional public transit services for travel beyond Rockland County.

TRIPS is Rockland County's paratransit bus service for residents with with physical, mental, developmental or intellectual disabilities or senior citizens who are aged 60 or over. In each of these cases, TRIPS service is reserved for individuals who are unable to use municipal, fixed-route bus service.

Runs East of Hudson
Metro-North provides rail service from Westchester County to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.  The Hudson Link bus provides service from Rockland to Tarrytown Rail Station to connect with the Hudson Line, and to White Plains Rail Station to connect with the Harlem Line.

NJ Transit
Runs West of Hudson
NJ TRANSIT provides rail service from Rockland County under contract with Metro-North. Ride the Main/Bergen/Port Jervis line from Suffern and Sloatsburg or the Pascack Valley Line to/from Spring Valley, Nanuet, and Pearl River. Service to Hoboken Terminal with connecting service to NY Penn Station via Secaucus Junction.
