Director, Investigative Technologies Support Center:

This is management and supervisory work of a highly confidential and complex nature involving responsibility for planning, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures for a comprehensive undercover and specialized investigative technologies program and all operations of the Investigative Technologies Support Center in the Office of the District Attorney. The work is performed under the direction of the Chief Criminal Investigator and the general supervision of the District Attorney and supervision is provided to staff involved in the investigative technologies program.

Minimum Qualifications:  Qualifications will be determined by the District Attorney and in consideration of suggested minimum qualifications consisting of: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and seven (7) years experience as an officer/investigator with a law enforcement agency, at least five (5) years of which were in a supervisory capacity that substantially involved responsibility for overseeing a diverse technical services division (i.e., that included multiple state-of-the-art investigative technologies such as electronic surveillance and investigative equipment).

Internship Position:

The Rockland County District Attorney's Office has limited volunteer (i.e. non-paying) full and part-time internship positions available throughout the year. During the fall and spring semesters, part-time positions are available to both law school students and undergraduate students. Fall semester positions begin in September and conclude in December. Applications for the fall semester should be submitted by August 1st. Spring semester positions begin in January and conclude in May. Applications for the spring semester should be submitted by December 1st.

Summer internship positions for law school students and undergraduate students are also available. The summer internship program last for approximately eight weeks, commencing in late May of each year and ending in early August. Applications for a summer internship should be submitted no later than April 1st.
