Rockland Youth Bureau Seeks Employers For2023 Youth Employment Program
New City, NY, - The Rockland County Youth Bureau is seeking employers from the private sector, local government, and not-for-profit agencies to participate in the 2023 Youth Employment Program. Rockland County employers willing to hire young people through the program will benefit by hiring enthusiastic, hard-working employees and will be reimbursed 100% of their salaries. “This is a great way for our local businesses to help our young people gain work experience and do so at no cost,” said County Executive Ed Day. “We look to get our young people engaged and employed while giving them hands-on experience that will help them prosper in their future careers.” In 2022, the Youth Employment Program placed over 220 young people with employers throughout the county. When given the opportunity, young people are rising to the occasion and contributing to Rockland County in a meaningful and productive way. The Youth Employment Program is a way to empower the youth in Rockland by giving them an opportunity to contribute and make a difference. The applicants are highly motivated young people from the community. They have completed a mandatory pre-employment training program developed and conducted by the Youth Bureau. Organizations that participate have the opportunity to increase work staff at a fraction of the usual cost, while the young people gain knowledge and experience for a successful future.
