County Executive Sends Letter to Gov. Hochul Regarding NYC Court Filing About Migrant Crisis

New City, NY, - County Executive Ed Day sent a letter Friday to Governor Kathy Hochul, criticizing Mayor Eric Adams for filing court documents to export his migrant crisis to other localities.

With 38 out of 57 counties outside of NYC and three towns enacting SOE declarations, the County reminded the Governor that the Mayor does not have the authority, in a home rule state, to dictate what happens in other municipalities.
