County Executive Criticizes City's Uncoordinated Decompression Strategy in Second Letter To Gov. HochulSee Attached Letter BelowNew City, NY, - County Executive Ed Day sent a letter Wednesday to Governor Kathy Hochul, criticizing Mayor Eric Adams for his unfounded claims that the City of New York does not have the capacity to care for individuals being relocated in his decompression strategy. With 38 out of 57 counties outside of NYC and three towns enacting SOE declarations, the County highlighted new criticism coming from the New York City Council about nearly 4,000 apartments with capacity to assist 15,000 homeless in the City of New York. |
