A Public Hearing will be conducted by Tina Cardoza-Izquierdo, Director of the Rockland County Office for the Aging. It will include a discussion of the targeted goals for 2018 and provide a forum for seniors to discuss concerns within the County. Medicare 101: This session is designed for those new to or soon to be eligible for Medicare, and for those who are still confused about some aspect of Medicare. Shawn Mathew, a Medicare consultant with HIICAP (Health Insurance Information, Counseling and Assistance Program) at the Rockland County Office for the Aging, will present information to assist you in choosing among Medicare options, as well as reviewing the various financial assistance programs available for Medicare recipients who meet income-eligibility requirements. There is time allotted for Q&A at close of the formal presentation. |
