Medicare 101

This session is designed to create an understanding of Medicare options available. Donna Gloc, HIICAP Coordinator at the Rockland County Office for the Aging, will discuss Medicare basics, including what you need to know about original Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Part D, and Medicare Advantage Programs. She will also discuss EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage Program), LIS (Low Income Subsidy Program) and MSP (Medicare Savings Program). Presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. Hand-outs will be available at the conclusion of the program. Light refreshments will be served. October 11, 2017 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Prior to the Medicare 101 presentation, a Public Hearing will be conducted by Tina Cardoza-Izquierdo, Director of the Office for the Aging. It will include a discussion of the targeted goals for 2017 and provide a forum for seniors to discuss concerns within the County.
