The Rockland County Youth Bureau announces that applications are now available for the T.E.E.N. Works (Teen Employment Education Network) program, a workforce preparation and placement program funded by the County of Rockland. This 7-week program is designed to provide youth between the ages of 14 and 21, who meet eligibility requirements, with meaningful workforce training.

The Rockland County Youth Bureau, Health Department and Office of Fire and Emergency Services announced that volunteers are needed for the newly created Rockland Community Emergency Services Response Team (RCERT). RCERT will mobilize youth and adult volunteers 14 years and older to support and enhance the services of first responders in times of crisis or disaster.

County Youth Bureau to Fund Programs that Provide Services to Young People
The Rockland County Youth Bureau announces that it will be funding programs that provide direct services to young people ages 0-21 under a new state-funding stream, Youth Development Programs (YDP). Rockland's application process will begin with community workshops at the New City Library: December 3, 2013 at 10:30 am or December 5, 2013 at 6:00 pm to explain the process and answer your questions.

The walks are led by experienced Rockland County Trail Guide Docents and offer varied terrain, great scenery, interesting discussion points, and different levels of walking (1 sneaker is easy, 2 sneaker is moderate, 3 sneaker is strenuous).
