New Employee Orientation
To assist you in becoming familiar with County worksites, services provided, and benefits you may be eligible for, as well as some of our policies and procedures, we have provided access below to our Employment Basics booklet.
Please take some time to review these materials prior to your orientation:
- Employment Basics
- 2023 Package-New Hire Forms
- I-9 Form Lists of Acceptable Documents
- 2023 Form W4 - FAQ Form W4
During Orientation you will be provided with information regarding the New York State & Local Retirement System. If you have ever been employed by a New York State public entity (County, City, Town, Village, School District, Public Authority or Special District) you may want to review your records to determine if you were ever a member of the New York State & Local Retirement System, have previous service you may be eligible to be credited for or if earned service credit in another public retirement system can be transferred to the New York State & Local Retirement System. If you are already an active member of the New York State & Local Retirement System, please bring your registration number with you. If applicable, you should also have any dates of Military Service available.
All employees of Rockland County are eligible, and encouraged, to enroll in Direct Deposit. For your convenience, below we have provided the County of Rockland's Direct Deposit Form. If you are unable to print the form, please bring your financial institution information with you to Orientation so you can complete the form at that time.
Don't forget to bring identification with you as specified on the I-9 Form Lists of Acceptable Documents.
