Rockland County STOP-DWI Honors Top DWI Law Enforcement Officers
County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef today saluted New York State and local law enforcement officers for their success in spotting and arresting intoxicated drivers. Thousands Attend Rockland County St. Patrick's Day Parade
Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef was one of the hundreds of marchers who participated in the 50th Annual Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade, sponsored by the Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians was viewed by an estimated 80,000 visitors, and was highlighted by a special appearance by Cardinal Timothy Dolan.
Rockland County Has One Of Lowest Unemployment Rates In New York State
The New York State Department of Labor today released local area unemployment rates for December 2011. Rockland County was noted as having one of the lowest county unemployment rates in the state, at 6.5 percent. The national unemployment rate for December 2011 is 8.3 percent, down 9.1 percent in December of 2010.
