It's never too late to live a healthier lifestyle

NEW CITY, NY - - Do you have a chronic health concern that is stopping you from living your life to its fullest? Have you tried to lose weight but have not been able to keep it off? You'll gain the skills you need to better manage your ongoing health conditions, make lifestyle changes to lose weight, prevent a fall and improve the quality of your life. Register now! Better Choices Better Health: Managing Ongoing Health Conditions: This free six-session workshop series will show you the skills you need to better manage your ongoing health conditions and improve the quality of your life. The next program will be from April 11, 2018 to May 16, 2018 from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm in Congers. For more information or to register, call (845) 364-2500.

National Diabetes Prevention Program (in Spanish): Learn how you can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes if you are at risk for type 2 diabetes or have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes. The next free 16-session workshop series in Spanish will begin February 27, 2018 from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm in Haverstraw. For more information or to register, call (845) 364-2499.

Living Well with Diabetes: Learn how to better self-manage your type 2 diabetes and reduce the risk of complications. For more information or to register, call (845) 364-2500. Lose to Win Weight Loss Program: Ready to lose weight? This program uses the latest guidelines to help you lose weight safely and successfully. There is a $10 fee due at the time of registration. Call Nyack Hospital at (845) 348-2004 to find out when the next free eight-week workshop series will be held.

A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls: This free eight-session fall-prevention program can meet weekly or twice a week. It will help you learn to reduce your fear and risk of falling, and simple exercises to increase your strength and balance. The next program will begin in Spring 2018.
