Rockland County has an all-volunteer fire service that provides 24 hour a day, 7 day a week protection for you, your friends and your family.

There are many benefits to joining a volunteer fire department such as building your confidence, learning a new skill, building camaraderie by becoming part of a team, and serving your community.

Note: Grades must be submitted 90 days after the end of the academic session.
Applications and backup can start to be submitted around 1st day of class, however must be submitted no later than 90 days of program.

Helicopter Emergency Lift Program (H.E.L.P.) (1.32MB pdf) provides air support to all Rockland County Police, Fire, and EMS agencies.

The object of this Association is the advancement of the interests of the volunteer firefighters, fire companies and fire service, promoting and strengthening the bonds of unity, which should properly exist among the various fire departments and companies throughout Rockland County and to render assistance, encouragement, education and safety, and in general, everything that would tend to enhance the efficiency of volunteer firefighters and further their cause.
The RCFF Pipes and Drums are a non-profit, all volunteer band and rely solely on the support of the local Fire Departments and the public for support and donations.We have been serving the Firefighters of Rockland County, New York since 2004. We are available for all social functions, including but not limited to, fire department functions, funerals, weddings, promotional events, memorials, parades and other community related events.

Mission is to provide a window of opportunity to support the volunteer fire service organizations and all member firefighters within the sixteen counties comprising the Hudson Valley Volunteer Fire Association and the public they serve.
