In 2016, our office was on the front lines of the battle against the region's opioid crisis, the fight against human trafficking, in prosecuting political corruption and public benefits fraud, and in reducing violence in our communities by holding street-level drug dealers and gang members accountable for their crimes.

In 2015, our premier collaborative initiative of 2015 involved the launch of the Rockland County Partnership For Safe Youth. PSY is a fresh approach to providing a continuum of schoolbased mental health and social services to Rockland County's at-risk youth. Download the full report

In 2014, a county-wide community action plan was launched to help battle the region's burgeoning heroin and prescription drug epidemic. The initiative, developed in close partnership with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), is divided into three specific areas:Targeted Enforcement, Treatment and Prevention/Education. In 2013, we invested significant resources in the development and expansion of innovative tools for our prosecutors. We also launched successful efforts to combat widespread abuse of public benefits programs, strengthened school partnerships and engaged in constructive dialogue with our community partners. 2012 Annual Report

In 2012, the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office successfully advanced our strategy of fighting violent crime and the illegal use of firearms by restrictive plea policies.  Our 95.5% overall felony conviction rate, including guilty pleas and trial verdicts, continued to outpace the statewide average.  My team of experienced and dedicated Assistant District Attorneys prosecuted a record number of criminal trials in 2012, including 24 verdicts. 2011 Annual Report

During the past year, the Rockland County District Attorney's Office filed more felonies and misdemeanor prosecutions than ever before. We are very proud of the fact that we have a 98 percent conviction rate – one of the highest in the State of New York. Office-wide statistics for the year 2011 show this office filed 638 felony cases, yielding a total of 569 convictions in Rockland County Court. My team of experienced and dedicated Assistant District Attorneys prosecuted a record number of criminal trials in 2011, including 24 verdicts. Download the full report.


2010 Annual Report

The 67 members of the Rockland County District Attorney's staff continue to work diligently for you. In the past year, we've made significant strides in a number of areas; for example, the successful launch of the state-funded Drug Market Intervention (DMI) program and the completion of the "Spirit of Rockland" Special Victims Center on the campus of Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. 2009 Annual Report

Community Prosecution has successfully taken root in each of Rockland's towns and villages. Launched in the Town of Haverstraw in November, 2008, the effort has resulted in numerous indictments and convictions on a variety of criminal offenses. In addition, the model of Community Prosecution in the RCDA's Office has given local residents a greater voice in prioritizing and solving problems that plague neighborhoods, from Suffern to Sparkill to Stony Point.
