Please be advised that 11 of the COVID-19 related deaths being added to the total on the Rockland County Coronavirus Dashboard this afternoon took place 1-2 months ago and DO NOT indicate any recent/current increased death rate trend. The delay in counting them is due to the fact that the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office just received death certificates for these prior deaths which had not been previously reported to us. We have collectively, once again, borne witness to a heartbreaking event. As a 20-plus year member of law enforcement who has had command responsibility, I can find no rationale at all for the type of force that was used and for the length of time it was deployed. What happened in Minneapolis is far beyond what is acceptable. The responsibility for this act lies not only with former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin but with the officers who were with him and allowed this to take place. [Read More]

$100 Billion in Funds Still Available in Sba Paycheck Protection Program
