“Aero Pointing Up” in the Fight Against COVID-19
Rockland PPE Manufacturer Receives $800,000 NYS Grant Award

New City, NY, - Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Economic Development and Tourism Director Jeremy Schulman today announced that Aero Healthcare US LLC, a global healthcare manufacturer and distributor located in Valley Cottage, is one of five New York companies to receive $2 million in the most recent round of state support to produce needed supplies in combating COVID-19.

“Rockland County continues to be a leader in the fight against COVID-19,” said County Executive Day.  “Today’s announcement will have a tremendous impact on Rockland’s public and economic health, by allowing Aero Healthcare US LLC to increase its production capacity of lifesaving Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and create more jobs here in the county.”

Aero Healthcare US LLC will use the funds to expand its current facility by 9,000 square feet where it will bottle hand sanitizer and manufacture the plastic bottles. The grant will also be used for the purchase of production machinery and equipment. Once fully operational, the company expects to produce 200,000 units of hand sanitizer per week. The project will include an investment of $2.1 million and create 10 new jobs.

“Aero Healthcare US LLC was an integral part of Rockland’s healthcare industry sector prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this award is a testament to Rockland’s frontline manufacturers,” said Economic Development & Tourism Director Schulman. “As the second Rockland company thus far to receive maximum state funding to produce PPE’s, this grant also helps to further reduce reliance on overseas products.”

In addition to hand sanitizer, Aero Healthcare US LLC produces first aid and bleed control kits, the revolutionary RapidStop tourniquet, and other PPE products at the Valley Cottage facility.
