Rockland Manufacturers Leading the Fight Against COVID-19
Pfizer, Inc., Nice-Pak Products and Cambridge Security Seals
New City, NY, - As the spread of COVID-19 continues to disrupt our lives, our communities and our businesses, many Rockland-based manufacturers are stepping up their efforts and working together to find new and innovative ways to minimize the impact this virus is having on our public health and the economy, locally and worldwide.

One company leading the fight against COVID-19 is Pfizer, Inc., located in Pearl River, New York. As one of Pfizer's nine primary research sites, Pearl River is a central hub for vaccine research and development activities and houses a state-of-the-art automated sample storage system. Pfizer is working jointly with Biopharmaceutical New Technologies (BioNTech), in the co-development and distribution of a potential mRNA-based coronavirus vaccine aimed at preventing COVID-19 infection.

As the world's largest manufacturer of wet wipes, PDI, (its Healthcare and Sani Professional Division), located in Orangeburg, New York, and its sister company Nice-Pak (Nice ′N Clean®, Wet-Nap® and Grime Boss®), have been ramping up the production of their Hand Sanitizing Wipes and Hard Surface Disinfectant Wipes in order to meet the ever-growing demand for their wipes, a crucial link in the fight to stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In response to the pandemic, PDI's facilities are now operating around the clock with additional staff working to keep production lines moving. Additional personnel have been brought on to support the large increase in quality testing of its products.

We have also increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning our facilities and instituted additional safety protocols and measures to ensure the safety of our employees and to protect the integrity of our products."
