School Testing Sites Announced - One Week of Coordinated Testing to Begin

The Rockland County Department of Health has partnered with Good Samaritan Hospital to provide one-week of testing for school districts within Rockland's Yellow Zone, beginning Monday, November 30th. Schools within the Yellow Zone are required to test 20% of students, faculty, and staff over the two-week period immediately following the announcement of a Yellow Zone designation in order to stay open for in-person instruction. Rockland County Announces Opening of New Monsey Park & Ride Facility

County Executive Ed Day and the Rockland County Department of Public Transportation have announced the opening of the County’s newest commuter parking facility. The new Monsey Park & Ride Facility is now open at the intersection of Route 59 and Saddle River Road (County Route 73) in Monsey. The new facility replaces the leased facility at the former Route 59 drive-in theatre site. Parking is free of charge and no permit is required. The lot is accessible from Route 59 at the new Friedman Way entrance (next to Key Bank) or from Saddle River Road at the new Baron Court entrance (across from Monsey Glen Park). [Read More]

County Executive Ed Day and Purchasing Director Paul Brennan announced today that the County of Rockland, the Rockland County Sewer District No. 1, Rockland Community College and the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority have awarded a contract to provide 100% green/renewable electricity to each agency over the next three years.
