STATEMENT FROM COUNTY EXECUTIVE DAY

New City, NY - "We in Rockland stand against hatred and with our brothers and sister in Pittsburgh. I have ordered all County flags to be lowered to half staff out of respect for the dead and in solidarity with the families and friends now mourning this grievous loss. This was a despicable crime fueled by hatred against defenseless worshipers at the Tree of Life Synagogue. It is time for the hate to stop. We share the same blood, breathe the same air and hold the same dreams for our families. In the coming days I will be working with the Rockland County Commissioner of Human Rights, Constance Frazier, to continue an interfaith discourse to increase understanding and bring us all closer together."
