The Key is presented to a person who makes a tangible, positive impact on the county as a whole and the citizens who live here. Cole started Pegleg22 in honor of his great uncle Jerry Donnellan. The mission of Pegleg22 is to raise awareness about the 22 veterans who succumb to suicide every day in the United States and raise money to perform service projects that benefit combat veterans in Rockland County and around the Hudson Valley. Spring Valley Refuses to Pay Fair Share

County Executive Ed Day joined with Hi Tor Animal Care Center’s Board of Directors President, Debbie DiBernardo to denounce the actions of the Village of Spring Valley Government. On April 18th, the Village of Spring Valley failed to pass a resolution executing the Inter-Municipal greement between the Village and the County of Rockland for Hi Tor animal control. Rockland County Executive Ed Day announced today that Moody’s Investors Service rated Rockland's Tax Anticipation Notes (TANs) MIG 1, a clear sign that the fiscal policies he put into place are paying off for taxpayers. The MIG 1 rating is the highest short-term rating assigned by Moody’s to Notes.
