NEW CITY, NY -- Calling children of all ages! YouthFest 2017 promises to be the "Fun-est Place in Rockland County" on Sunday, March 12, 2017, when thousands of families are expected to flock to Rockland Community College in Suffern for a fun-filled day of fabulous entertainment, stimulating activities, interactive educational exhibits, great food and more.

In its 19th year, YouthFest highlights include live performances by local arts organizations; Nyack Hospital's Teddy Bear Hospital; Inflatable Party Adventures and the Dikki The Clown formerly of the Big Apple Circus. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the RCC Fieldhouse. Admission is free. Parking is free.

"We're planning a bigger and better YouthFest than ever before," said County Executive Ed Day. "Along with an impressive list of activities and entertainment, YouthFest offers our residents key information about safety, health and wellness, special needs, education, summer camps, financial and college planning and other important family-related topics. One of our goals is to help parents and caregivers make informed decisions for their children by giving them easy access to some of the best local services, programs and products available to them."

As part of YouthFest, Rockland County Government Day allows visitors to view interactive demonstrations and informative displays and meet with over 25 Rockland County Government Departments, including the Youth Bureau, Fire and Emergency Services, County Executive, Social Services, Health, Public Transportation, Highways, Personnel and Elections. Departmental representatives will be on hand to answer questions and/or concerns. Government Day is a great way to learn about all the programs and services offered by Rockland County.
