• Sidewalks at the crossings will also be closed.

• From Thursday, 10/19/17 through Wednesday, 10/25/17, NJ TRANSIT will be closing the rail crossing at Main Street (Route 45) for a week for repair work.
• The Main Street (Route 45) crossing will be closed 24/7 between October 19 and October 25 and traffic will be detoured.
• The Spring Valley Transit Center will remain open and accessible during the construction project.
• The Main Street (Route 45) crossing will re-open on Thursday, October 26.
• The Village of Spring Valley is working with NJ TRANSIT to ensure traffic control will be in place for all three of the road closures and detours between October 11 and October 26.

The rail crossing repair work on the Pascack Valley Line has been ongoing since September 17 and is expected to be complete by October 28. At the crossings in Rockland County, repair work will include replacing concrete panels and smoothing the road surface.

Rail service on the line has been suspended during daytime hours during the week and completely suspended on weekends throughout the six-week period allotted for the crossing repair work. Pascack Valley rail commuters have been using the substitute busing being provided or finding other alternatives since that time.
