Participants in County Youth Program to Create Trail at Hospice Residence

NEW CITY, N.Y. — Participants in the Rockland Conservation & Service Corps, a program of the Rockland County Youth Bureau, will be installing a therapeutic nature "Contemplation Trail" at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence of United Hospice of Rockland from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 8.

The work will be part of the "Friday Projects" being done by youth throughout the summer in Rockland. The trail will mostly be used by friends and family members while visiting their loved ones at the hospice residence.

"This is a wonderful example of young people giving back to their community," said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. "The participants in this county program will be creating something that future generations will enjoy."

Community volunteers will also be taking part.
