Suicide Prevention Coalition Presentation

The Rockland County Department of Mental Health is hosting a presentation on developing a suicide prevention coalition in Rockland on Tuesday, July 12.

The presentation will be made in conjunction with the New York State Office of Mental Health.

Representatives of more than 50 community groups, agencies, schools and other organizations are expected to attend the presentation at Rockland Community College, according to Rockland Commissioner of Mental Health Michael Leitzes.

"Every death from suicide is a tragedy," said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. "We hope that by bringing all of our community resources together, we can reduce the incidence of suicide."
