NEW CITY, NY -- Do you know a local resident who has made volunteer service to our environment a priority? The Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources is now accepting nominations for the 18th annual County Executive's Outstanding Environmental Volunteer Award.
The County Executive's Outstanding Environmental Volunteer Award recognizes exceptional volunteers who care for our parks, champion our watershed programs, encourage recycling and work everyday to enhance the natural beauty of our county's open spaces.
To be eligible to receive the award, a deserving individual must be at least 18 years of age and a Rockland County resident. Individuals who have been nominated in the past, but not chosen, are eligible to be re-nominated.
County Executive Ed Day will honor this year's winner during a tree planting ceremony at Kennedy Dells Park in New City on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11 a.m.
For more information or to obtain a nomination form, contact the Division of Environmental Resources at (845) 364-2670 or firstname.lastname@example.org. To be considered, nominations must be received by April 1, 2015. Honor someone today for their dedication to our planet!
