GRANTS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE ROCKLAND COUNTY YOUTH BUREAU
Interested Nonprofit Agencies Must Attend Mandatory Training Session
NEW CITY, NY -- The Rockland County Youth Bureau will offer a training session for local, nonprofit groups interested in applying for funding through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
For 2016, OCFS has revised the list of services, supports and opportunities it will fund through county Youth Development Program (YDP) grants and requires performance measures for each grant. As always, the Rockland County Youth Bureau Board of Directors has identified funding priority areas for next year. The Board will continue to give extra consideration to applications that target our hardest-to-reach and highest risk young people.
Any agency planning to apply for 2016 Youth Bureau funding will be required to attend a mandatory training session to support appropriate preparation. Only those agencies that attend will be permitted to apply. The Youth Bureau will offer the training at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30 at the New City Library. Instructions for completing the Concept Paper, which is the first phase of the application process, will be distributed at that time.
Agencies applying for Youth Bureau funding must be community-based organizations that are private, not-for-profit corporations.
The Rockland County Youth Bureau is committed to its continued advocacy on behalf of the children, youth and families of Rockland County and to the support of those agencies that provide invaluable services to our residents.
