ROCKLAND COUNTY T.E.E.N. WORKS PROGRAM NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2015 SUMMER SESSION
Eligible Youth Must Submit Applications By June 10
NEW CITY, NY – The Rockland County Youth Bureau is now accepting applications for the 2015 summer session of the T.E.E.N. Works (Teen Employment Education Network) program.
T.E.E.N. Works is a county-funded workforce preparation and placement program that combines a summer work experience with year-round career and life skills training. Designed for youth between the ages of 14 and 21, the seven-week program offers paid pre-employment training and a possible job placement upon successful completion. The mission of T.E.E.N. Works is to help teens and young adults grow into successful, contributing members of our local workforce with strong goals for their future.
Candidates who meet eligibility requirements will be paid the minimum wage of $8.75/hr. The program begins July 6, 2015 and concludes August 20, 2014. Days and hours of operation will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Applications for T.E.E.N. Works are currently available at the offices of the Rockland County Youth Bureau in New City, or may be requested via U.S. mail or email. The deadline for submitting an application is June 10, 2015.
