The Office of Community Development serves the people of Rockland County by obtaining federal and state grants to provide affordable housing and improve the quality of life to low and moderate income residents in Rockland in an ethical, courteous, timely and cost-effective manner.

2020 HUD Entitlement Grant Applications Are Open!

Applications will be accepted until April 16th.

The Rockland County Office of Community Development is pleased to announce that its application period has begun for the 2020 fiscal year. Anyone who wishes to apply for federal grant funding can start an application at the following link:

2020 CDBG & HOME Application

The application period will end on Friday, April 16, 2021 Grants:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
The grants provide funding to eligible projects sponsored by public agencies, developers, for-profit or not-for-profit organizations. We encourage organizations who provide quantifiable benefits to the low and moderate-income population to apply. The funding is provided through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Since the funding source is limited, this is a competitive application process. The Rockland County Office of Community Development HUD Entitlement Program goals are consistent with its adopted Five-Year Consolidated Plan as well as the National Objectives defined by HUD.
