Kicking off the conference, Dr. Paul Michael Ramirez will be presenting Living Alzheimer's: it not just about the Patient. Dr. Ramirez is a Professor of Neuroscience/Neuropsychology, Psychopathology and Psychopharmacology. He has published numerous papers on cognitive and major mental disorders and has been Principal Investigator on research grants. He is the senior author of a chapter called "The Diagnostic Family conference in Alzheimer's Disease" which appeared in the "Alzheimer's Disease: A Physician's Guide to Practical Management" (2004). Other sessions will include workshops on Understanding Legal & Financial Issues, and Mediation Techniques for Relaxing and Stress Reduction. The charge for the event is $25 for family and the general community and $45 for health care professionals.
